Surgeon said he almost lost his leg. It seems that pit pulled Deeogi from under our chainlink fence tearing his leg.

I had just fed our yorkies and I sent them out to go potty to our backyard that is fenced off. I was cleaning their area when I heard alot of barking I looked out of my front window and noticed neighbors dogs out again. She lives across the street few houses down.
I went to back door to let my dogs in that's when I noticed Deeogi was missing I ran to my front yard and the owner already had the pit and she told me "I think he killed your dog" I ran around our house but she stopped me "and said no don't look I'll get him" I started screaming and crying hysterically.
Everything happened so fast I remember trying to go to him but my daughter grabbed me and said "No mom I'll get him" I'm crying and saying Oh my God Oh my God Noooo.
Then we noticed Deeogi walking towards us he was barely alive blood everywhere. It was awful I ran to him picked him up and started to tell him what a strong brave boy he was and how he was going to be ok because he was a fighter. He seemed to be in shock and breathing very fast I realized I needed to calm down so he could feel my positive energy. Daughter drove us to vet. The whole time I was kissing him and talking to him. When we got there he was very calm. Vet said being so calm really helped him.

Vet and staff said he was a very lucky boy. Small yorkies attacked by pits don't usually survive. I know it's not just luck but everyones prayers and good wishes.

I still haven't stopped crying

Thank you so much YorkieTalk family. I will keep you posted he is in er hospital recovering right now.
Today my mom's shih tuz fluffy was also pulled under a chain link fence by a big dog. He is a German/Aussie mix. Luckly my 3 year old son started screaming no fluffy no no and picked up a big rock and hit the dog he let go of fluff and her ran back into the yard. Fluffy had 6 holes to his back legs and torso the vet patched him up and sent him home on antibiotics. We were very lucky! I hope that your baby has a fast recovery! I also hope story's like this will teach people with aggressive dogs to keep them put up properly.
