The slams weren't at you. They were towards your friend. I give you credit for want to talk with her. I would just take her dog and not give it back, but I'm abrasive and can be a bit of an @$$ sometimes.
Try talking to her again, if you can maybe get ahold of the vet thae cares for her dog and see if they can maybe give her a call as well.
