Max had an infection of unknown origin in one of his eyes and it required 10 days of a drop that was a combo steroid/antibiotic because the simple antibiotic didn't help. An ulcer and scratch must be ruled out before using this, otherwise damage can be done to the eye, or things can get worse.

Testing for dry eye would also be a good idea. When the eye is dry, it will produce green/yellow mucous to protect itself. The Schirmer Tear test has to be done before the fluorescein stain.

Just some thoughts. I know how frustrating eye things can be.
Wow sounds like you have had your fair share of eye issues

Yes they did do a stain to rule out a scratch.

The drops are an antibiotic/steriod. She mentioned something about dry eye possibly being a problem as Layla gets older but she said it isn't an issue right now- but just something to watch for.
Thankfully she goes in tomorrow so maybe they can take a closer look. Today it looks ok but yesterday when I came home from the airport (i hav ebeen gone for 5 days so I really thought I'd come back and have it be perfect but my parents said it has been still quite goopy) it was very messy.
