I'm glad you asked, Shelbys mom, I was wondering myself. Now that I've seen the answer, it explains one breeder I met when looking for a Yorkie. She was much closer to me than the breeder I actually got Gracie from, but this woman was breeding yorkies, shih tzus, maltese, chihuahuas and more. She had a really big back yard kennel, but you could tell that the dogs didn't get much attention. Most of their coats looked unkempt and they each had like a small doghouse in the pen with a light for heating. I didn't know that it was a "puppy mill" at the time, but I could definitely tell that there was no way this woman could pay attention to all the dogs she was breeding. It was sad. Needless to say, I found another, more responsible breeder. |
