Lol, you tell it so funny, "he just stands still and looks all sweet and pees", it's really hard for them to tell the difference between a pee pad and the carpet. Joey learned much faster on the hardwood than on the carpet. You also have to use an enzyme spray on all the accidents; otherwise he'll think the carpet is a giant pee pad. The enzyme cleaners work because they get rid of all the protein in urine so the dog can’t smell where he went before. You have to spray on and allow to dry naturally. Deodorizing cleaners just aren’t as effective.
