It must have been a lot of weight. There's no magic number, but it's thought that before the age of 38 the skin still has enough elasticity to shrink back if there hasn't been too much sun damage done. People tend to lose weight in their face first, and sometimes it can take 6 months or so for the weight to redistribute itself. That’s way too young to look old. A healthy forty-year old, should look like a 20 year old, who stayed up all night!
