Estimated your yorkie should come in every 6 months. Give or take a month or two. All are different. Finding her heat when you dont know when her last one was will be harder to find so you will need to watch her closely. If you dont have a stud around some signs are swelling, she may clean herself more often at that time and if when petting her back near her backend she moves her tail back and forth like a clock pendalem she is probably in heat.
I would think she would have a little bleeding you could take tiolet paper if you think she is in and wipe lightly back there if you see a tinge of bright red she is just comng in, darker more brown she is in more progressed heat. By the time she is in heat ready to be breed she should be very swollen back there. AN easy way to remember is 1 week coming in, 1 week ready to be bred, 1 week going out.
