I agree with the other two posters, nutrical should not be given haphazardly, too much will bring on hypoglycemia instead of preventing it. Nutrical is mainly sugar, and if puppy has an attack of hypoglycemia, they won't want to eat, giving a little sugar like nutrical, can stimulate the appetite, but protein should always follow within 20 minutes of giving nutrical. Most breeders will not allow a dog under two pounds to leave, and this is a very critical time for you puppy. Make sure food is available all the time, even a 5 minute play period can deplete the puppy’s energy reserves, they don’t have any fat yet, and when this happens, hypoglycemia can result.
