We just got back from NJ and in the paper there was an article about a new law about stiffer penalties for people who intentionally kill police dogs or dogs involved in search and rescue. 5 yr minimum prison WITH NO PAROLE and fines up to $15K. The law named for Shultz a police dog who died in the line of duty. Here on yorkie talk we are all animal lovers, passionate about our dogs they are our love, our joy, I am sure other states have such laws to protect, my own CA, you can leave a kid (2legged) in a car but not a dog, so I know it begins but it is never enough, our dogs give so much to us. The last is my personal rant and I'll get off my soap box, but a big thumbs up NJ
