I think if they are trying to sell a product, then what that product is supposed to do should not be overly photoshopped, bc I do feel that is false advertising. I can't stand mascara ads wear the model is clearly wearing fake lashes.

Personally, ads don't really have much effect on me anymore. If anything, they dissuade me from purchasing bc they look so fake. I make my buying decisions based on consumer reviews, price, and need.

Although, I can understand why celebs and models would want their covers and what not retouched, if they can look better then why not? What I don't get though is how they would feel if their fans saw them in person and told them you don't look like you in person, or you're shorter/fatter/flatter,etc than I thought.
