I agree a good brush must be used. Madans are great, and have different stiffnesses for difference coats. I started training Uni with brushing when she was sleeping. I got her used to being on her back on my lap to brush her tummy. Go a little at a time. If they start getting squirmy, just stop, and wait until a little later. They will get used to it.
