This worked for me... maybe it will work for you too.
I purchased some treats from "The Blue Buffalo Co.", they are tasty chicken treats in the shape of small hearts. I split them in half and place them in a small bowl next to where I will be grooming Hana. Once Hana is on my lap I start to gently comb her hair... I pause in between and give her a treat and praise her for being a good girl. I continue to comb her hair but do take several breaks in between to reward her for sitting still. She knows that if she sits still she will get a treat. Be persistent, it will pay off.
This is a great opportunity to bond with your puppy, soon she will enjoy her grooming time and you won't need any more treats... unless you still want to reward her at the end.
