Try talking to your groomer and asking what products are used on Sammy's head. I have a thread in the grooming section from last week asking everyone for advice on products and techniques for safely washing the head. Several people recommended Spa facial scrub as gentle on the eyes. I used it on both Teddy and Max and it was great. Cleaned without irritating.

Thanks for the advice. The groomers I take the guys to is a long time friend, but I think they are a bit rough. I was so mad when they did notfollow my directions and cut the hair on Remy's face. The more I think of it sammy's eye were teary after the last grooming, both eyes. I just cleaned them and they stoped. Also, Sam had a cherry in his eye, about two years past I had the surgy to repair it - so that eye maybe more senitive.
I will do some research on the dry eye. He does not have the bluding eyes like my shih tuz so I am hoping that will help.
