Thanks Maximo.. I hope his eye heals fast. I remember reading somewhere that dogs like lhasas and shih tuz often have eye problems. The vet said he may have "dry eye" and I am guessing that will mean eye drops. Looking back I can remember eye gunk off and on in that eye. I think it intensified after the last time he was groomed. I am now wondering if something happen when he was groomed ? I just don't want him to lose that eye!!!
I will keep you guys posted when I take him back for his check up

Lhasas are more susceptible to eye problems because of the structure of the eye. Hopefully he does not have dry eye. I think it might be good to have him tested when you go for your final follow up with the injury and a little down the road. Sometimes antibiotic drops and salves can skew test results.
Try talking to your groomer and asking what products are used on Sammy's head. I have a thread in the grooming section from last week asking everyone for advice on products and techniques for safely washing the head. Several people recommended Spa facial scrub as gentle on the eyes. I used it on both Teddy and Max and it was great. Cleaned without irritating.
