The White Stripes are my favorite band, and Jack White is my favorite musician hands down. I enjoy his two other bands, The Dead Weather and The Raconteurs. The Black Keys are good, albeit a rip off of Jack's bands. I was and still am in love with Amy Winehouse and will rock her soulful croon to Adele's everyday. I love Mariah Carey's christmas album, its like a gospel album to me. I also love Etta James, Sarah Vaughn, Nina Simone, and Frank Sinatra. I also enjoy Deadmau5 or Shrillex when I am getting ready to go out or getting ready in the morning. I love a voice and a melody that will tug at my heart.
If you like to discover new music, I find that Pandora is really useful for this. You can just enter in an artist you do like and it will play things it thinks you will like based on that. They play tons of stuff that is NOT on the radio 
I love music, it feeds the soul.
