Awh Dixie ... you are fifhteen years young today! What a loving life you have had. So much joy with your Mom. what matters if my hearing is a bit off, or my sight, I can always smell you, and know in my heart where ,my beloved is.

When I was just a young pup, before I left my birth mother,
I wondered and hoped I'd find my forever Mom,
Someone just like you,
Who played and trained and just loved all of me,

And then you came, and picked just me!
I was so glad when I smelled you, and knew you were mine
All mine in a never ending circle of love.
You made my life so happy

Don't cry Mom, cause we both know my life is gently closing,
Love me, play with me, be mine now, as you have always been.
It's just sometimes we doggies need to go first to that Rainbow Bridge
But I'll be there waiting for you Moms.
