I truly hope that you have many more healthy and happy days filled with beautiful memories with Ozzie. We open up our hearts completely and surrender them to our babies knowing full well that their lives are so much shorter than ours and that our hearts will break when we lose them. Our babies teach us so much about love, and if we hold back for fear of getting hurt, we lose out on so much. Each loss is so great, but the love we receive from our babies and what we gain from them is so much greater. I lost my last little one a year ago, and although she was close to seventeen, I couldn't prepare myself to lose her. We lived every day to the fullest, and it was a truly special time with our little girl, even though she suffered from dementia and required a great deal of care. We have so many happy memories throughout Ashley's lifetime, and we also have so many precious and priceless moments with Ashley as we enjoyed every last second with her. I'm so sorry about Ozzie's illness. Take each day one step at a time, and I wish you many, many more magical moments with him. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
