I understand that now! When I got him I really had no idea that is how pet shops got dogs! I have stated before in all my post that I will never do another pet shop buy and I won't I actually have bought another baby since then form our local breeder! However I would still buy Tibbs a hundred times over because I love him and could not see my life without him. But I no longer even go into a pet shop I get all my stuff at Walmart , online , or my vet. But if you already have your baby bought out of ignorance or not .....you should take care of it! Tibbs has a clean bill of health ( Except his broke leg) because we bought him he also have a big part of my heart!
