We use the finger tip brushes and both Sammie and Gracie tolerate it fine. A word about potty training - it is tough and there is no way around accidents. They are babies and babies make messes, period. It took both of ours about a year to really get the hang of correct pottying. It comes with maturity - give it time - just hang in there with him - he will get it.
