I know dogs pant to regulate their body temp, when they are in pain & when they are scared. Everytime I give Princess a good, thorough scratching & massage she starts panting. She loves it from what I can tell, she let's me do it every evening if I can. She's been doing it for a long time & I do not think it's related to pain from her recent illness.
Any ideas why she would do this? Is she just that relaxed?
