Belle was just spayed yesterday and I picked her up at 7pm. My vet has someone there until 1am, but he doesn't keep spay/neuter patients overnight. She came home and slept on the couch until I went to bed and then slept on my pillow all night.... she's actually still on my pillow now.
I see no reason to keep them overnight, especially if no one will be in the clinic to keep an eye on them.
