Poor baby
Both my boys use Buddy Belts and we have never had a rubbing issue. I don't keep them very tight but I would say they fit snug. I wonder if it's just too tight or perhaps the shape of the Dachshund doesn't agree with the Buddy Belt. Those dogs are very difficult to fit.
