Layla went to the vet yesterday and besides being told she had an eye infection and gained weight!! (it has been too hot here to walk in the mornings...) our vet said the bump on her back has doubled in size and Layla needs to have it removed. It is a sebaceous cyst (I believe) and she wants it removed so she only has to have a local instead of a general. ANYWAYS- she can't eat that morning and will not be eating all day- I am worried about her blood sugar levels. The vet initally said not to feed her when I got home but I mentioned I was worried about her blood sugar. I am worried Layla will be so out of it she won't want to eat (she will be given a sedative and my sweet girl is quite sensitive to medications).
For those that have had their pups in for day surgery- can you shed some light on this. I am already dreading leaving her there for the day
