I won't be much help either. I have never boarded either one of my boys. We have only spent 1 night away from them, and I looked into all the boarding/daycare places in my area then. I didn't like any of them, and would have stayed home over leaving them there. The places were clean, and some had "condos" you could upgrade to. Even the condos I was not comfortable with. One of the places had these HUGE gaps under the fence outside (which was RIGHT next to the freeway). We told the people that our dogs would be able to fit under there, and they just said that they would put some concrete blocks under part of it. Yeah that'll work. So, my first choice was to ask the breeder to keep them for the night. She was busy at the time, so I had a friend come over and stay at my house with them. It worked out great, they slept in our bed with her like they do with us, and didn't get stressed. I paid her $50.

If we ever go on vacation again, I will ask the breeder first, then some other yorkie lovers in my state if they can watch them. Even if I have to drive a couple hours, it's so worth it for the peace of mind that my babies are with someone I trust, and will get great care and not just thrown into a pen and ignored.
