Default Time, Love, and Patience!

Our neighbors have a cat. The cat is used to being around dogs in it's own home. It is one of Bella's best friends. The cat is so patient with Bella's need for interaction. I would look at the overall temperment of your cat and then decide if adding a Yorkie is a good idea. Cats are very unique and if it doesn't care for the dog, I would expect it would eventually ignore it. But, Yorkie puppies are very active and needy . . . the cat might just bite/scratch if not kept safe from the puppy's need for interaction with ALL living things. Good luck in making the decision. It's a BIG one as the you are thinking about bringing a new animal into your cat's home. I would never want to see a new animal jeopardize the position of the animals already in residence.
