I'm not talking about tip jars that the waitstaff put in their collective tips at a restaurant or bar, but tip jars on the counters of take out places, Subways, Starbucks, pizza joints, etc, where there is no wait service?

I have no problem with tipping every now and then to a place where I am a regular, but still I don't do it every single time. How do you guys do it?
