What about a modern shag cut? I still see lots of pictures of those in the hair magazines.
I have fine hair (I'm too old for a shag though); but they worked for me back in the day.
You absolutely have to get a hairdresser that can work with fine hair. If you find one; he or she will be worth their weight in gold!
