I never thought about it that way. Personally, I like Sharon Osbourne and I know that she donates a lot to charities involving animals, and allegedly the Osbournes have other dogs that are rescues (but like you've mentioned this might not be true). I guess it's my own bias (I like Sharon) that blinded me to the possibility that the story is not as true as it appears to be...I would be more skeptical if it would have been another celebritiy (like Paris Hilton for example).
