Acana has something like 33% protein, which is middle of the road. There is a lot of debate about protein percentages and what is appropriate for Yorkies in particular. Some people argue that the sky is the limit and others say no more than 24-26%. I know of very healthy dogs in all categories.
I don't think it was the protein that didn't work for Max. It was the Acana formula in general. Just not the right food for him. |
