So sorry to read of Jackson's Dx but he can live a really normal life without treats and foods that hurt him. My Jilly got so ill anytime she had the tiniest bite of anythings other than her Science Diet Sensitive but I had all kinds of ways I prepared it for her and even made hardbaked treats and sundried treats out of it. I saved her so much agony by not letting her have ANYTHING other than her approved food. All of the family knew of her condition but many thought I was a mean momma by being so strict and would occas. slip her something and she always had dire and I mean dire consequences. I let them all know of each miserable hour she had after family gettogethers and soon everyone was a believer and would give her only her homecooked/baked/dried treats and lots of love. So her later years were much better once my family bought in to her real situation of acute food allergy leading to very acute gastoenteritis in a matter of hours after eating the smallest bite of meat, bread or veggie. So, do not count yourself a bad mommie, it is just that it is very hard to control other people or even yourself when you have big puppy eyes begging in front of you. However, a couple of really bad illnesses will soon convince all that puppy eyes are not nearly as sad as a sick, sick dog. We all learn as we go along and do the best we can.

I am keeping Jackson and you in my prayers and hope he is home very soon and back cuddling in your arms, well and ready to resume his popular career of the big dog star that he is!
