I'm so sorry to hear about Jackson, he seems so athletic and healthy and I know you do your best to feed him a healthy diet, but sometimes these things are just genetic. Once they have it under control, his diet will have to be carefully monitored, and I hope you can trust your vet in helping you to find the best diet. My son’s dog went through so many attacks before they found a food that worked for him, Iam’s (low residue formula), and also feeding three small meals instead of two. I know a lot of people are “against” Iam’s, but personally, I love the company since they make a food that helps Baxter. He got so skinny we really thought we’d lose him. If lots of different foods cause pain, they become afraid to eat anything, and I’d be very careful about adding lots of variety to his diet. |
