well im just confused. I was relieved when the vet said it was no big deal and wouldnt be but 400 roughly, but worried that he's' undershootin it a bit. Or just quotein me the surgery itslelf. We do live in a smaller area not a big major city so I dont know if local would be the difference or not. I think one day I will call other vets to get thier opinnion and maybe call the office of the guy that our vet said would be the most local person to do the surgery and ask them spacificly. The vet told us that the place to have it done for our area would be next couple of towns/ counties over. So, I think I will call just to see and double check if thats for ALL of it or just the surgery. But he seemed to say that his mom had her yorkie done and it was just 400. Dont know if that was years ago or what... Vet says he probably wont need surgery for a while, and with the supplements he might get it strengthened and hopefully not have anymore probs w it slipping. But Id like to prepare and know my numbers just in case. What in the world would I do if it were thousands and I cant afford it????? I told my darn husband to check into insurance a long time ago. But as always.... Now it wouldnt be covered. :O( Grrr. Heres hoping its more affordable here in the "small town usa".
