This sounds like such a good option.
My cavalier has LP on both legs and had surgery before 1 year on one, with statement from the vet that the other one would probably need it soon. The 2nd has never required it, and Cooper is not in pain. He's almost 7 years old. It seems like there are so many unknowns with any puppy, even from the best of breeders. If the breeder were willing to do this, at least you'd have the money set aside.
