my girl is a rescue. i got her at 1 year old. and most are vet checked and have all there shots, and spayed or nuetered. there are alot of babies that are in need of a home. not to mention older dogs are easier to train than a puppy. and rember there are no gaurentees on any pet you get. There will always be some expenses at some point in there life. i understand you may want a puppy--but please dont rule out a rescue---you would be saving a life...... and it may be one of the best choices in your life you ever made. i know it was for me, and many others out there.
