I still think its best to check the source of the problem first before starting treatment with medicine. What if that medicine is not really indicated in the first place? Imagine you have to wait till 14 days before examinations can be done. I suggest you go follow up with a more competent veterinarian. Going with conservative treatment is ok if you know the source of the problem, but going conservative without knowing the source is a poor judgement call.
