Jenny food IS expensive - that's definitely a downside, unfortunately. My husband and I were on it long enough to get to the 30% discount level but I don't think they offer that anymore. It does help re-establish good eating habits though.

We decided to switch to the 'produce' diet after seeing friends of ours who simply switched to healthy vegetarianism just drop weight without really trying. Vegetarianism can be deceiving though if you include tons of pasta and starchy veggies but it's an alternative to paying someone to help you lose weight. And I'm absolutely convinced now that a plant-based diet is the key to good health. I'm a late convert at age 61 but now a believer. My friend who had type 2 diabetes is now totally off medication simply by going veg.
Another good book is 'The Kind Diet' by Alicia Silverstone. Her web site
The Kind Life is also a good source of info. She's a political vegan which may be off-putting if you don't agree, but the veg info is good and lots of good links.
