I have two large Alex bags (one gold Luxe and one putty), and I love them. I carry both my 7 lber and my 5 lber no problem. I wouldn't suggest you put much more weight in the bag because it does get heavy to carry for long distances.
My two love their bag. Khloe will jump right in it, and both of them know the command "head in" when I want to zip it up. I have had them both for about 2 years and use them several times a week. They are showing some wear, but are definitely still in great condition!
