We have adopted in the past, and will do sp again I am sure. I did check on some that were listed, but they did not work for us. They were too far away, or they could not go to a family with children, or no larger dogs allowed. Locally adopting a pet is much like a game of chance. It is a first come first served basis, and if more than one person wants the same pet they draw names. I found a dog I absolutely fell in love with a couple of years ago at the shelter. He had been found and picked up. I spent the whole time waiting for him to be available hoping my name would be drawn, if anyone else showed up wanting him. I did not get him. Thankfully his family showed up to claim him, and I know he had to have been ecstatic to see them. Sorry, I am rambling again.

My mother found her a puppy. She is perfect. She is everything we wanted. In fact my daughter, Sydney, is anxious to introduce her to the group. She will probably start a thread in the nursery section soon.

I am glad you found a new pup to add to your family. I know how excited your daughter must be!
