I do want to say that I love the diagnosis!
I had a recent very similar incident with one of my pups ... it happened at the vet and my vet did just what the EC vet did with the OPs dog. Examined thoroughly and instructed me to watch him closely for any neuro signs to pop up which never happened. No xray was done, nor was it needed. Honestly, most times if anything is wrong regarding a back, it is not going to show up in an xray anyway.
As for a chiropractor, I would not go to one myself so I sure as heck would not take one of my pups.
