I have heard good things through the grapevine about Sea Breeze Maltese, but they are located in Illinois. Not sure how much of a drive that would be. They exhibit. I know nothing about Malteses personally, though.
They also make sea breeze collapsable travel pens - that we have ordered from them and are very happy with them!! Very good quality!
