3/15/11 – Dixie is doing very well. The results from the many mammary tumors came back and they were benign. She will just need to be watched for anymore to appear. Before having the mammary tumors removed Dixie had been limping on her back leg. The dogtor checked her leg while she was under anesthesia and did not see any issues. The limping has gone away and she is back to normal. We are working on the house training and she will go outside when you take her out, but hasn’t quite grasped the concept of letting us know when she does need to go out. We are sure with time she will catch on.
2/21/11 – Dixie will be going into the dogtor on Thursday to have some mammary tumors removed. She has also started limping with her back right leg, so the dogtor is going to check it more thoroughly when she is under for her tumor removal. He checked for the typical luxating patella and confirmed that is not the issue.
2/9/11 - Dixie is sweet as ever! She comes out of her shell a little more every day. She has now started wagging her tail more when she is happy and also comes by for a nice massage. She loves to snuggle in next to you on the couch or at your feet on a blanket. She is a very quiet little girl, unless the other pups are barking and then she can’t help but join in a little bit! She just wants love and affection! We are still working on the house training, but have found that doggie panties do help and she doesn’t mind wearing them at all. |
