My Gizmo is almost 5 yrs now and I got him at 6 weeks in the winter time so I had to use the pads as we could not take him out in the cold. It took quite some time because I was working at the time but I finally got him trained to the pad. Also since he is a male, I had to work with him on not marking up the entire house which stopped after I had him fixed.

Use lots of treats and praise and go for it!
