I thought I was prepared after spending several
years researching different terriers and applying to rescue groups. The first 24 hours Max was home, I realized that all of the books in the world can't prepare anyone for a Yorkie. The last couple years have confirmed that for me.
If I had known beforehand what I know now, I don't think I would have had the courage to commit to a Yorkie. Of course, they are so wonderful that I had to have a second.
