Brit, you are an amazing dog mommy, and Jackson is so lucky to have you. I think it is very rare for an 18 year old to take on dog ownership as responsibly as you have, and I commend you for that. I can't even imagine you two without each other.... you are two peas in a pod.
I had raised Schnauzers for many years, and after one died suddenly, I got my first Yorkie, Tiki. I was totally prepared for "dog" ownership, but not so much for this particular breed. Joining Yorkie Talk showed me how much I did not know, and I am so much better prepared & educated now. What I was unprepared for was how ADDICTING these little pups are..... and before I knew it I ended up with 4. The addiction is under control for now, but I am always on the verge of relapse when I see pictures of new puppies. God forbid if I see any in person... I'd probably cave in and have #5. |
