No, this lady is in Celeste, TX. I can't find a shelter or rescue for Celeste.
And no, no offense to country people but the Greenville area is podunkville and their idea of fun is having 10 or 12 dogs running around on their 5 acres and another 8 cats, for mice in the barn.
Haven't heard from Jana yet.
The dog was dropped off Monday according to the lady I spoke to. Mom and I went Sunday evening to pick tinker bell up and she wasn't in the back yard.

The one lesson that we should all learn from this story is that we need to CHIP our animals and they should ALWAYS have a collar and tags on! ALWAYS!!!!!! If one or both of these things were to have been done this little girl would not be in a shelter right now. The owner would have been given a call and someone could have come to pick her up. There just is NO EXCUSE to not keep basic contact information on a pet. Every story that I can remember always has "she didn't have ID's".  |
