I thought I saw him, but I think it might have been a bunny or something else because it ran away from me. Would they run and not notice it's me? Would someone call right away?

He didn't have his leash on at the moment (the only time he didnt!) but he is microchipped so i contacted homeagain to be on the lookout. Plase let me know what i should do.

Sending my best. My guess is a 3-pound Yorkie would be picked up quickly by anyone who finds him wandering. Hopefully, they'll alert animal control or post a found ad on craigslist and the newspaper.

But don't underestimate a Yorkie's ability to survive on its own. A friend rescued one last winter that survived for months in an Alaska winter. Rescue group estimated it had been out there for as long 4 months, living under a Dumpster.
