celstu, my youngest son has cystic acne too. The dermatologist wanted to put him on Claravis (generic version of Accutane) but I was afraid of the side effects. So Dr. put him on Solodyn tablets (also gave us coupons that we only pay $10.00 for the rx) and Epiduo Gel (coupon only pay $35.00). His skin has cleared up nicely. He also gave him injections of Kenalog into the cystic bumps. We go back next month to get him checked again. |
