To make matters worse the second night he was very nauseated and in the middle of the night while I was sleeping he ate potting soil to try to ease his stomach and the next day he started throwing up and would not stop. Of course it was a Sunday and I didn't wany to take him to emergency because they did not know his history. He threw up so violently that he slpped a disk in his back. Now he is getting acupunture and his back legs are getting somewhat better. This whole thing has been a nightmare. Pasha still has a granuloma in his bladder that was caused by the infection due to the suture reaction. Went to the vet today and I am cautionly happy to say that the granuloma is shrinking. This has been a 5 month ordeal, but he is slowly (very slowly) getting better. I hope and pray that your little one does not have any of these problems. What has happened to Pasha is very rare so hopefully Gio will come thru his second surgery with good results. I feel for you and keep me informed on his progress. |
Thank you for your response and I am so sorry for all of your troubles with this! It must be so hard! I decided to not go forward with the surgery and keep him on antibiotic and let the sutures come out on their own. Too stressful for the little guy.
