I love yelp, but it has let me down a few times, but has also helped me too. I think you just have to take into consideration the type of people who would review a place. For example, and AYCE sushi place is not gonna get high marks from say asian people who like their food authentic, but may rate high with people who like quantity over quality. Then my most fave mexican place has practically no reviews even though the food is great, bc I doubt their clientele know about yelp or even use the internet much for that matter. Just like on YT, you have to get to "know" the reviewers and learn who your tastes are most like, follow them, and find out new places that way.
