Oh, how sad for the little guy
I pray the all goes well with the healing. I can only imagine how hard it is to keep him off it, but I'm sure the vet wants the bone to heal in alignment. Did vet want him crated for the duration or did they say he could move around with the cast? Hugs ))) to your sweet baby.
